cooking at home

I've been cooking at home two days in a row and I feel pretty proud of myself. I discovered that a weekend not working, not going out and not eating out can be quite fun.

So even though I couldn't wake up at normal time neither on Saturday (noon) nor Sunday (2pm), I did manage to take a walk (1-1,5 h) around my neighborhood, buy some basic products and cook. 

I found my Rick Gallops "Low GI Diet" book, re-read some of the basics and ate accordingly.I can't remember since when have I been so full and not feeling tired after eating.I mean, I have been eating low GI products for quite a long time now, but especially August til November this year, I haven't really been eating properly 3 meals + 2 snacks per day, rather having maybe breakfast, 1 snack and 1 (maybe) warm meal per day - total chaos! I was eating too little really and when eating, the foods were selected randomly just to fill my stomach as soon as possible.

Today I had:
Breakfast: fried eggs with 2 slices of ham and 1 paprika, 1/2 cup of skimmed milk
Snack: 1 apple, 1 plum muesli bar
Lunch: minced meat with tomato sauce, whole grain spaghetti, tomato, 1/2 cup of skimmed milk and for desert 1 banana with some low-fat cottage-cheese

I'm about to go to cinema, so I am still to have 1 more snack and light dinner. I guess it will be apple or carrots for snack and vegetable soup for dinner.
